Newick bowls club welcomes touring sides!
Our Club is at the heart of the pretty village of Newick which sits in the attractive countryside of East Sussex, between the South Downs National Park and Ashdown Forest. The area also offers some outstanding attractions, including the historic Bluebell Steam railway and the National Trust gardens at Sheffield Park.
Situated on the A272 some 35 minutes from the coastal resort of Eastbourne - and even closer to Brighton and Tunbridge Wells, Newick is easily accessible from the A22, A23 and A27 and ideal for a visit on the way to or from your tour base. For our precise location see Finding Us.
Newick Bowls Club was formed in 1911 and has been affiliated to the Sussex County Bowls Association since1920. It boasts a 6 rink bowling green that is second to none in the area and has hosted Sussex County matches and competitions.
The Club offers good facilities in pleasant surroundings. Our pavilion, with covered walkway and seating area, includes a well stocked bar and catering facilities. We have been a venue for touring sides for more than 30 years.
Access to the Club from the village green is via Oldaker Road and Marbles Road. Free car parking is available. Coaches may be parked nearby.
